Eileen Borgeson Launches Orbital and Promax Muses Into Holographic Space

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 13, 2007) - Hawaii Artist, Eileen Borgeson has just completed the holographic archiving of her sculptural and cultural icons, the 'Orbital Muse' and the 'Promax Muse.' This archival technique also enables Eileen to introduce her bronze and crystal sculptures into holographic fine art editions. Each hologram will reconstruct and project a holographic sculpture into space so that your hand can grasp it yet your fingers will pass right through the sculpture.

Eileen's Promax Muse globally honors thousands for their creative excellence in promotional and marketing campaigns for such programs as: "American Idol," "Grey's Anatomy," "CSI," "Survivor" and "The Sopranos." Promax/BDA is the worldwide association of entertainment marketers, promoters and designers, representing more than 500 television stations, all major broadcast and cable networks in the U.S. plus more than 3,000 members in 70 countries. This week in New York at the Promax/BDA Awards Show and Conference, keynoted by former President Clinton, hundreds of winners of the Promax Muses will be announced. Past winners have included: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, BBC, HBO, SHOWTIME, MTV, CNN, DIRECTV, Disney, Warner Bros., Buena Vista and Studio City.

Eileen's 'Orbital Muse' AKA 'the Muse of Flight' has honored Dennis Tito, Mark Shuttleworth, Greg Olson, Anousheh Ansari and JUSTSAP as three different recognition awards for the Space Travel and Exploration community as the 'Dennis Tito,' 'Space Ambassador' and 'Space Exploration' Awards.

The 'Orbital Muse' premiered at the 25th annual International Space Development Conference and Orbit Awards Dinner as the Space Tourism Society's 'Dennis Tito Award.' Eileen collaborated with holography pioneer Jeff Allen on both the Dennis Tito awards and the 14 holographic crystal Orbit Awards. These Orbit Awards honored pioneers and catalysts in the emerging new space community including: Burt Rutan, Buzz Aldrin, Peter Diamandis, Paul Allen, Richard Branson, Robert Bigelow, Eric Anderson, the Ansari Family, X Prize Foundation and Zero Gravity.

The 'Space Ambassador' Award features the 'Orbital Muse' sculpture 'floating' in sub-surface laser etched Optical Crystal. It was presented at the Wirefly X Prize Cup where Anousheh Ansari was surprised with the inaugural Award. In on the presentation and surprise were: the X Prize Foundation, Alan Hale, co-discoverer of the Hale-Bobb Comet, and Anousheh's family and staff.

During the Opening Ceremonies of the 16th JUSTSAP (Japan-US Science and Technology Space Systems Programs) annual symposia and directly after the Keynote Address by astronaut/Lt. Col. Michael Clifford, Eileen and Jeff Allen presented the 'EArt Space Exploration' Award to the entire organization. JUSTSAP is a unique association of scientists, business executives, government officials, educators and students from Japan and the United States sharing a common interest in space exploration and space-related science and technology.

Eileen is currently collaborating with Jeff Allen on archiving her artwork and creating holographic sculpture editions. Allen, a holography pioneer, has participated for over three decades in many of holography's major breakthroughs, including: diffractive optics, white-light view-ability, mass-replication and instant composite holography. The holograms on the VISA and MasterCard credit cards and National Geographic magazine covers are a direct outgrowth of some of these early efforts.

"The 'Orbital Muse' is a symbol of our burning desire to adventure into new realms of outer as well as inner space," Jeff Allen says. "'Star Trek' helped inspire the dream of Space Travel and Exploration. Science Fiction is now rapidly becoming Science Fact. The dream has now become a vision in which we can all share, shape and become a part of. The 'Orbital Muse' holographic sculpture not only represents the future of art but recognizes our role in Earth's future. Finally...the future is here!" Allen's 35-year adventure into holography can be explored on Holographics.com.

Holography opens up many possibilities for Eileen to express herself and be in the forefront of holography's continued evolution and reinvention through art. Other artists who have created holographic fine art are Salvador Dali, Bruce Nauman and Yakov Agam.

About Eileen

Eileen's sculptural pieces are found in trophy cases as well as art collections of thousands of individuals and organizations world-wide. Her original art has honored many individuals, including: B.B. King, Elton John, Bob Hope, the Dalai Lama, Hugh Hefner, Ronald Reagan, Al Hirschfeld and Aerosmith. She has collaborated with many other artists or their estates creating unique art editions, including: Chuck Jones, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Maxfield Parrish, and for his last seven years with Erté, considered by many as the father of Art Deco. She also created many fine art crystal and illuminated glass editions for Warner Bros. and Disney.

Eileen's Orbital and Promax Muses are part of her 'Fine Art of Recognition' Muse Sculpture Series which she has developed "to honor and inspire individuals to persevere imaginatively and creatively while pursuing their dreams and realizing their visions. These sculptures are like a family I have birthed and all have a different symbolic meaning to me. As I sculpt, the image evolves and takes on its own identity. I want people to see internally and feel what the sculpture says to them personally."

A substantial body of Eileen's work can be viewed on E Art Gallery's online gallery.
