El Mirador Tortilla Chips Extends Its Special Offer on New Co-Branding Program

Retailers Can Have Their Own Brand of Tortilla Chips With a Minimum 8 Case Purchase

PORTLAND, ME -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 12, 2006 -- El Mirador Tortilla Chips, New England's gourmet tortilla chip maker, today announced that it has extended its special offer for new co-branding customers until November 15, 2006. The company is offering a $50.00 credit to new co-branding customers. The company had earlier announced the program that gives resellers the ability to have their own brand of tortilla chips with an initial purchase of only 8 cases and 5 case re-orders. The company's recently expanded graphics capabilities made it possible for the company to lower the threshold for entry into co-branding.

The company makes highly prized tortilla chips by hand, with distribution primarily throughout New England, the Midwest and the Atlantic seaboard.

El Mirador Tortilla Chips have been exhibited at the NASFT's International Fancy Food Show in New York City, and the company has announced that they will be exhibiting in Canada and the United Kingdom next year. According to Scott Rehart, owner of El Mirador, "We look forward to expanding our co-branding business here, and in Canada, where our chips have been selling very well since being introduced there two years ago."

El Mirador Tortilla Chips were introduced in 2002 and were an immediate hit. Sales grew five-fold after the company was picked to make private label tortilla chips for several specialty food groups.
