El Paso Corporation Declares Quarterly Dividend

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 6, 2011) - The board of directors of El Paso Corporation (NYSE: EP) declared today a quarterly dividend of $0.01 per share on the company's outstanding common stock. The dividend will be payable January 3, 2012 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 2, 2011. Outstanding shares of common stock entitled to receive dividends as of September 30, 2011 were 770,482,626.

El Paso Corporation provides natural gas and related energy products in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner. The company owns North America's largest interstate natural gas pipeline system, one of North America's largest independent exploration & production companies and an emerging midstream business. El Paso owns a 42 percent limited partner interest, and the 2 percent general partner interest in El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P.
