Elan Digital's New Software Spreads Appeal of USB Oscilloscope

FAREHAM, UK--(Marketwire - July 9, 2008) - Elan Digital has developed a new JAVA™ based software package for their miniature USB-powered oscilloscope, the USBscope50, meaning that the instrument can now be run on just about any popular operating system, including Windows XP, Vista and Linux. The new software has a simple and easy-to-use GUI incorporating all of the key functions expected from a professional grade product.

The best-selling USBscope50 is one of the smallest oscilloscopes in the world to offer such high levels of performance.

It can be used with standard BNC probes and forms part of a Test and Measurement suite consisting of a Function Generator, a Pulse Generator and a Frequency/Period counter.

As well as the improved software, another feature of the suite is 300V Cat II galvanic isolation, ensuring that all of the instruments are fully isolated and thereby protecting the PC and software from accidental damage.

Additionally, two or more of the mini-scopes can be stacked together with full synchronisation to act as a multi-channel instrument.
