Elections Canada Mails Reminders: Electors Reminded of Voter Information Cards and Identification Rules

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 29, 2014) -

- A reminder brochure delivered to every household in Whitby-Oshawa (Ontario) and Yellowhead (Alberta) asks electors to take action if they have not received their voter information card, or if the card contains errors.

- Electors are asked to use Elections Canada's online voter registration service before midnight on Sunday, November 9, to update their address or, in some instances, to complete their registration.

- Electors who cannot use the online voter registration service are asked to call their local Elections Canada office before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014:

-- Whitby-Oshawa (Ontario)

-- Yellowhead (Alberta)

- The reminder brochure also provides information on the voter identification rules, including the list of identification authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada.
