Electors Must Prove Their Identity and Address When They Vote

GATINEAU, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 15, 2014) -

- Federal by-elections will be held in Whitby-Oshawa (Ontario) and Yellowhead (Alberta) on Monday, November 17, 2014.

- All electors must meet voter identification requirements when they vote in federal

- Electors can choose one of three options to prove their identity and address.

- Some identification documents used at provincial and municipal elections may not meet federal election requirements.

Elections Canada is an independent body set up by Parliament.
