Electric Insurance Company Adds Emergency Roadside Assistance Services

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwire - December 20, 2010) - Beginning January 1, 2011, Electric Insurance Company® will add around-the-clock emergency roadside assistance services to its towing and labor coverage.

The new services, provided through Cross Country Automotive Services (Cross Country), a leading provider of driver and vehicle assistance services in North America, include towing, winching, lock-out assistance, flat tire changes, jump-starting dead batteries and emergency fuel delivery to drivers with towing and labor coverage.

Michael Mucher, Electric Insurance's vice president of Sales and Marketing, emphasized that providing emergency assistance underscores Electric Insurance's philosophy of providing exceptional customer care. Electric Insurance's new services include a very welcome convenience feature: most of the time, customers won't even have to submit a claim for reimbursement. "They've already been through an unpleasant situation, and having to save related paperwork and submit a claim adds more complication," she said. "The new emergency roadside assistance service makes the whole situation so much easier on our customers. They just sign for the services and continue on their way."
