Electro Energy to Participate in ACG Advanced Automobile Battery Investment Summit

DANBURY, CT--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Electro Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: EEEI), a leading provider of advanced battery technologies and associated systems, announced today that Michael Reed, President & CEO, will be a featured panelist at the Association for Corporate Growth Advanced Automobile Battery Investment Summit being held on June 17, 2008 at the Standard Club, Chicago, IL.

Mr. Reed will be a member of the panel to discuss "Lithium Battery Technologies for Automobiles - Opportunities and Challenges." Panelists will discuss at length the different approaches being taken by their companies to increase energy storage, minimize safety hazards in lithium-based technologies, and how best to maximize value in this rapidly developing market.

Mr. Reed will highlight the Company's patented technology, developed with over $30M of U.S. Government funding, providing smaller, lighter, more powerful and less costly batteries for our military. Electro Energy is developing its proprietary technology in lithium-ion and nickel-metal hydride chemistries that meet the needs of the transportation market.
