Electronic Music Phenomenon deadmau5 Investigates New Career Path at Wynn Las Vegas

Forging 2012 Exclusive Partnership With XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club; New Single "aural synapse" Available Now

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Nov 15, 2011) - After reaching worldwide fame, electronic music phenomenon deadmau5 went on an extensive job search at Wynn Las Vegas to see what other fields could be tackled. Following wild auditions and trial runs ranging from the golf course to the blackjack tables, deadmau5 decided to return to his roots, uniting with XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club for an exclusive partnership in 2012.

Selling more than 500,000 singles of his hit "Ghosts N Stuff" while earning countless awards and accolades along the way, deadmau5 has taken electronic music to the next level. Recognized by his famous mau5head, his sets are always unique as he assembles tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he's helped write himself.

The exclusive partnership launches in the New Year with a debut at XS on Monday, January 2, 2012. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Wantickets.com.

"We had the privilege of having deadmau5 headline at XS several times this year and instantly knew we needed to develop a more permanent relationship," said Jesse Waits, co-owner and managing partner of XS Nightclub. "He brings an unparalleled energy to every set in addition to the most dedicated fans I've ever seen. We're honored to have him call Wynn his home when in Las Vegas."

"deadmau5 is a superstar and his connection with his fans is truly electric," said Sean Christie, co-owner and managing partner of Encore Beach Club. "His set at Encore Beach Club this summer was monumental for Las Vegas' daylife scene and his partnership with Wynn further signifies that our venues continue to set the bar for music programming."

No stranger to an impressive stage, deadmau5 has headlined a record-setting six consecutive nights at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, four consecutive nights at the Palladium in Los Angeles, the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, in addition to Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and the Virgin Mobile Festival. Most recently, deadmau5 has made available "aural psynapse," his brand new track on Ultra Music. For the last few weeks, the stunning, synth-driven song has been an integral part of his critically acclaimed live show. Making its debut at #7 on the iTunes Dance Single chart, "aural psynapse" is now available exclusively for iTunes at: http://bit.ly/szt2bI.

In 2009, deadmau5 was nominated for Best Remixed Recording at the Grammys and took home the Best Electro House Artist and Best Progressive House Artist at the Beatport Awards while being noted as the "most influential, relevant and forward-thinking person in electronic music over the past 12 months." His most infamous award show appearance was rocking the stage at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards as he introduced his signature sound to TV viewers tuning in across the globe.

The Grammy award nominee is a perfect pair with the two exquisite Encore venues. XS was named 2010 Mega-Club of the Year by Nightclub & Bar as well as landing in the #1 spot on the Top 100 list of nightclubs ranked by annual revenue consecutively in 2010 and 2011. Encore Beach Club has also received praise since opening including being named "Best Adult Pool" by USA Today and one of only two Las Vegas venues listed on DJ Mag's "Top 100 Clubs" list.

XS Nightclub is open Friday through Monday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Encore Beach Club is open seasonally. Table reservations are highly recommended (XS: 702-770-0097; Encore Beach Club: 702-770-7300). For more information, visit www.xslasvegas.com or www.encorebeachclub.com.
