Element 21 Expedites Scandium Driver for USGA Approval

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 20, 2005 -- Element 21 Golf Company (E21) (OTC BB: EGLF) announced today that the company is submitting its new Scandium driver to the United States Golf Association (USGA) to verify that it "conforms to the rules of golf." The Eagle One™ Scandium Golf shafts have previously been ruled by USGA to conform to USGA rules of golf.

E21 has manufactured the driver so it complies with USGA COR, weight, volume and other requirements under the direction of Dr. Howard Butler, one of the world's leading designers of golf shafts and heads. To hear a live interview with H. Butler describing the driver, please click on

The club will be instantly recognizable due to its unique design features that include a louvered effect on the crown plate of the club. This creates a corrugated effect providing additional strength to the clubhead design and, when coupled with Scandium's superior strength-to-weight ratios versus steel and Titanium, allows more freedom to move weight to strategic points within the sole of the clubhead for improved distance and accuracy. A preview of the new clubhead design is available at

The E21 driver has one of the largest face areas of any driver on the market and because the head and shaft are both made of the same patented scandium alloy, unprecedented "True Contact Signature" at impact is achieved. This means greater control and repeatability. The scandium alloy club head also creates less ball spin at the point of impact for greater distance.

Dr. Howard Butler, President of Golf Science Consultants and former VP of R&D at True Temper stated: "I am very excited about the development of this Scandium club. It has met and exceeded our expectations for performance, both in the lab, and in golfers' hands. Feedback we are getting from the field is that the club is creating a buzz within the industry. I have been receiving a lot of inquiries regarding the entire line of Element 21 Scandium products."
