Elemica Awarded 2nd Patent on Supply Chain Operating Network

Translation Methodology Enables "Come As You Are" Trading Partner Integration

EXTON, PA--(Marketwired - Jan 22, 2015) -  Elemica, the leading Supply Chain Operating Network provider for the process industries, announces that the U.S Patent and Trademark Office issued Patent No. 8,904,528 for a "Method and Apparatus for Translation of Business Messages" to the company for their next generation QuickLink Network. This newly awarded patent, along with a broader international patent portfolio, confirms Elemica's unique approach to helping companies overcome significant challenges through truly innovative technology. Patent No. 8,904,528 relates to how messages are translated from one format to another using "universal business concepts," significantly reducing the time and simplifying the process of on-boarding supply chain trading partners.

"Elemica's QuickLink Network platform, in a very straightforward way, integrates the extended supply chain using technologies that allow for easy on-boarding of thousands of trading partners without requiring them to change the way they fundamentally do business," said John Blyzinskyj, CEO of Elemica. "Our patented approach to integration means that companies can seamlessly and efficiently conduct business with others on the network without having to make costly investments in time and technology. This exciting patent not only adds to Elemica's growing IP portfolio, but protects our one-of-a-kind technology for message translation."

Elemica's next generation QuickLink Network offers agnostic integration capabilities across thousands of individual trading partners and their respective enterprises. Manual processes related to mass on-boarding campaigns are now fully automated and reusable, allowing companies to more rapidly and cost effectively integrate a critical mass of trading partners. Reaching critical mass enables a company to achieve forward-looking flexibility, gain predictive insights into market opportunities or disruptions, run processes more profitably, and ultimately unlock the ability to deliver more Amazon-like customer-centric experiences.

Previous U.S. Patents issued provide significant coverage in the message translation and Supply Chain Operating Network areas. Elemica has filed additional patent applications directed towards the QuickLink Network platform and the cloud-based applications built on top of the network. As functionality in development is introduced, Elemica is filing more patent applications to aggressively protect the technology underlying the company's business network.

Elemica introduced the next generation QuickLink Network, along with the company's overall Supply Chain Operating Network platform, in May 2013.
