Elephant Talk Communications CEO Is Interviewed on CEO Live Financial News TV Network

SCHIPHOL, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - Elephant Talk Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: ETAK) (www.elephanttalk.com) Chairman and CEO Steven van der Velden discussed in an interview on the CEO Live financial TV network the company's recent partnership to expand into 10 additional countries and described its goal of becoming the preferred outsourcing partner to help companies manage and secure the mobile cloud. The interview is available at http://blip.tv/glxwire/ceolive-with-elephanttalk-from-glxinc-com-5470103. Elephant Talk is an international provider of business software and services to the telecommunications and financial services industry.

Elephant Talk recently announced a joint venture with MECO Communication Holding (www.mecogroups.com) to launch mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) platforms in 10 different countries, Mr. van der Velden noted. Starting with MVNE platforms in Italy, Germany and the UK, Elephant Talk and MECO aim to complete, within a few years, MVNE platforms in Switzerland, Portugal, France, Greece, Ireland, Austria and Canada. Total investment in the joint venture will be up to $50 million.

Elephant Talk provides businesses with a simple yet powerful mobile virtual network enabling (MVNE) platform which allows businesses in all sectors to manage their own mobile virtual networks, Mr. van der Velden said. Using Elephant Talk's service, companies can manage pricing, bundling, provisioning, customer care, and other functions. He pointed out that rather than create such platforms on their own, companies will prefer to outsource that function, and Elephant Talk is an experienced provider of such services. As the mobile cloud continues to grow, Mr. van der Velden said he expects the demand for services such as Elephant Talk's to increase.

In addition, Mr. van der Velden discussed Elephant Talk's acquisition of ValidSoft (www.validsoft.com), which specializes in the business of securing the mobile cloud. ValidSoft was founded by CEO Patrick Carroll, who previously co-headed the electronic trading business for Goldman Sachs in Europe. Combining Elephant Talk's capabilities at management of the mobile cloud with ValidSoft's expertise at securing the cloud will be an attractive combination, he added.

ValidSoft has proven to be capable of eliminating 95 percent of card transaction fraud and virtually 100 percent of false positives, which are expensive for banks, in pilot programs that have been conducted worldwide, Mr. van der Velden said. ValidSoft uses anonymous correlation logic to determine if a transaction attempt is likely to be fraudulent. He noted that Visa Europe and ValidSoft have a current agreement that allows Visa Europe to integrate ValidSoft's technology and he expects the global adoption of the technology in the future.
