Eli Caliva Joins Charles Industries as Midwest Regional Sales Manager


ROLLING MEADOWS, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 1, 2012) - Charles Industries, Ltd. today announced that Eli Caliva has joined the company's Telecommunications Group as Midwest Regional Sales Manager. In this capacity, Caliva will bring his knowledge and industry expertise, account management skills, and business development relationships to penetrate our growth markets of Wireless, Utilities, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the Midwest region. More specifically, he will lead Charles' regional initiatives with strategic partners Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint as well as other wireless carriers and utility providers in the region.

Caliva comes to Charles Industries with more than seventeen years of relevant copper and fiber technology experience including Sales, Business Development, Project Management, and equipment installation and configuration in the telecommunications industry. For the past four years Eli was Regional Sales Account Manager for CommScope Inc., responsible for ILECs and CLEC business development including such accounts as AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Metro PCS and Clearwire.

Prior to CommScope, Caliva was a Regional Engineering Support Manager, AT&T (SBC), with whom he was responsible for documentation and technical support to field personnel for all VRAD applications associated with Project Lightspeed. During his thirteen years with SBC and Ameritech, Eli developed extensive outside plant and network experience with aerial and buried wireline facilities, as well as various transmission technologies, in his ascending capacities of Installation & Repair Technician, OSP Design Engineer and Loop Capacity Planner.

Caliva earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the Northeastern University, Chicago, and an Associate Degree in Architecture from Wilbur Wright Jr. College, Chicago.
