SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - May 7, 2014) - Oberto, the nation's leading all natural jerky brand, announced today the launch of its new multimillion-dollar national broadcast marketing campaign. The "You Get Out What You Put In™" campaign focuses on the importance of being selective in the foods and snacks fans and athletes consume. With an emphasis on the benefits of its all natural, high-in-protein jerky line, Oberto continues to encourage consumers to turn over the bag to make sure they're "putting in" great fuel to get out a great result.
In the new broadcast commercials airing this week, world champion cornerback Richard Sherman joins the Oberto portfolio of high-profile athletes Clint Dempsey (U.S. Men's National Soccer Team and Seattle Sounders FC), Brian Urlacher (all-pro linebacker and football analyst) and Louie Vito (pro snowboarder and X Games host) as elite competitors looking to get the most out of their bodies -- by putting all natural protein in. The world-class athletes are accompanied by sports television personality Stephen A. Smith, who plays a "little" role in helping the athletes perform their best.
Teaser ads, titled "Draft Eve" and "Draft Day," begin airing on ESPN today. The two spots feature Richard Sherman describing the draft day experience, the hard work and the dedication it takes to be selected to play football at the highest level, and the great feeling of receiving "the call." He congratulates those who are selected and reminds athletes everywhere -- "You Get Out What You Put In."
"There's no reward without dedication and sacrifice put into the job," said Richard Sherman. "With these commercials, it's great to be able to emphasize how hard work pays off. 'You Get Out What You Put In' is a motto I live by, on and off the field."
Additional campaign commercials, titled "Little Voice," begin airing nationally on cable and network television May 8, debuting with a separate Sherman commercial. Dempsey and Vito versions of "Little Voice" will begin airing May 11.
In each of the 15- and 30-second national spots, Smith, who serves as the "little voice" in their stomachs, reminds them why Oberto is a great option to fuel their workouts. The humorous commercials appeal to consumers who look for all natural products, like Oberto's All Natural Jerky, when adding protein to their diets. They end with Smith telling athletes and fans -- "You Get Out What You Put In."
"With such major news happening in football, soccer, the X Games and other sports -- and with the highly recognizable sports personalities like Richard Sherman, Clint Dempsey, Louie Vito and Stephen A. Smith all featured in these commercials, it's the perfect time to launch our largest national broadcast marketing campaign ever," said Greg Yahn, Vice President of Marketing for Oberto Brands. "As a world champion in football, Richard's athletic results already speak for themselves, and we are thrilled to have him join our growing team of world-class brand ambassadors. Stephen's outspoken delivery is exactly what we need to further educate fans about the nutritional benefits of Oberto All Natural Jerky."
Dempsey, Sherman, Vito and Urlacher are prominently featured in national print, online and social activities with the "You Get Out What You Put In" theme.
