ELIXIR: The Most Glamourous Fundrasing Event of the Season

The 15th edition embraces the message of hope and solidarity

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 28, 2013) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, is proud to present the 15th edition of MASKARADE. On Thursday, February 13, 2014, 450 guests will escape to Montreal's Marché Bonsecours to enjoy an evening filled with gourmet cuisine and world-class entertainment. Ticket proceeds will help the Farha Foundation reach its $300,000 fundraising goal in order to support people who have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Quebec.

"This year's MASKARADE 2013 theme, ELIXIR', as in 'ELIXIR of life' represents the solidarity, prevention and active search for a cure to end this disease; the hope that one day our community will live free of HIV/AIDS," said Linda Farha, spokesperson of the Farha Foundation. " "Guests will be whisked away to a magical evening with friends, colleagues and loved ones, and be prepared for the unexpected - including our very own special ELIXIR cocktail."

MASKARADE is an annual masked gala put on by the Farha Foundation, aiming to enlighten the community about the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS and those touched by the disease, including their families, friends and caregivers. Ron Farha, Founder of the Farha Foundation once said, "that while AIDS will disappear one day, we currently have the opportunity to learn and grow, and we must do just that." This thought-provoking statement inspired MASKARADE 2014.

This year's ELIXIR edition will once again be the most glamorous fundraising event in Montreal as celebrities, artists, fashionistas and CEOs come together, wearing the message of hope in their best evening attire, to dine, celebrate and savour generosity at this magical soiree. The evening beings with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner, entertainment and a silent auction at 8:00 p.m. Tickets and table reservation information can be found at

We appreciate the extensive media coverage that has made MASKARADE the most renowned masked gala in Montreal - celebrating our community. We hope that that the press is excited to share our unique gala, which will live up to it's promise - to be the most enchanting evening yet. Our aim is to lead the change by celebrating it.

MASKARADE is the most glamorous event of the Farha Foundation. Previously known as "Black Tie Bingo", this gala, which takes place once a year in February, was renamed MASKARADE in 2004. The theme is different with every edition, and always chosen in memory of Ron Farha. Each year, many artists and partners participate in a luxurious silent auction, and all the profits go to the Farha Foundation.
