Elliot Scheiner to Speak at Madison Media Institute

MADISON, WI--(Marketwire - October 16, 2009) - Elliot Scheiner, world famous record producer and engineer, will be guest speaking at Madison Media Institute on Friday, October 23. Mr. Scheiner will be sharing his experiences and achievements in the recording industry.

Mr. Scheiner has received 23 Grammy Award nominations, six of which he won. Other recognitions include four Emmy nominations, one Emmy award for his work with the Eagles on their farewell tour broadcast, as well as three Technical Excellence and Creativity (TEC) Awards nominations. Mr. Scheiner is a TEC Hall of Fame inductee, and recipient of the Surround Pioneer Award. He holds an honorary Doctorate of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, and is one of the few Americans to be awarded the Master of Sound honor from the Japan Audio Society.

There will be two presentations; at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Both presentations are open to the public and will take place at Madison Media Institute's new theater, located at 2758 Dairy Drive.
