Eloqua Announces Call for Entries for Fifth Annual Markie Awards

Popular Industry Awards Recognize Revenue Performance Management Success and Exceptional Marketing Results

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - Jul 20, 2011) - Eloqua, the leading provider of on-demand Revenue Performance Management solutions, today announced that nominations are currently being collected for the 2011 Marketing Awards, better known as the Markies. The Markies honor innovation and celebrate companies that are achieving outstanding sales and marketing performance.

The fifth annual Markies, which are open to all companies, added five new categories to the 2011 awards bringing the total to 22 categories. Markie Award categories are made up of key areas in marketing and sales, including creativity, vision, social media, and revenue performance. Previous winners include Polycom, Taleo, Penton Media, and the Golden State Warriors.

"I look forward to the Markies every year because I'm simply blown away by the creativity and more importantly the results achieved by revenue-minded marketing professionals," said Joe Payne, CEO, Eloqua. "Last year we had a record number of entries from hundreds of highly sophisticated marketers. Eloqua is once again expanding our awards program with new categories and we look forward to cheering lots of Revenue Performance Management success stories."

In addition to the previous categories, the Markies now include the following new categories:

Connecting in the AppCloud Award recognizes a company that has successfully built or used Cloud Connectors to streamline marketing campaigns, clean data, manage events, or more.

Lead Scoring 2.0 Award honors those who have revamped their lead scoring program and witnessed remarkable results, either in increased pipeline, increased revenue or better sales and marketing alignment.

Best Nurturing Campaign Using Social Media honors a company at the social media forefront that effectively added social media channels into a lead or customer nurturing program.

Fastest Time to Value is for marketers who have demonstrated return on investment in the first quarter of usage -- increasing revenue, efficiency or making other significant measurable gains.

Best International Campaign recognizes campaigns that ran outside the United States -- particularly those that cover multiple countries and multiple languages.

Submissions for the Markie Awards are due August 5th and finalists will be announced on September 16th. The Markie Award winners will be unveiled at an awards dinner during Eloqua Experience 2011 (#EE11SF), Eloqua's annual user conference taking place October 19-21st in San Francisco.
