Eloqua Announces Call for Entries for Second Annual Markie Awards

Eloqua Will Recognize Innovative Marketers and Demand Generation Excellence Across Nine Categories

The Markies recognize innovative and visionary marketers in the field of demand generation, as well as ground-breaking campaigns and programs for sales and marketing effectiveness, demand generation, lead scoring, lead management and campaign management. Markies will be handed out in nine categories:

-- Best Lead Scoring Award: recognizes an organization that deploys automated lead scoring systems to improve sales targeting, increase win rates or shrink sales cycles, resulting in closer alignment between marketing and sales.

-- Best Lead Nurturing Award: recognizes an organization that has implemented sophisticated lead nurturing or cultivation systems that improve sales effectiveness and efficiency and minimize lead attrition.

-- Marketing and Sales Alignment Award: recognizes an organization that has gone above and beyond its peers to forge a high degree of cooperation, communication and alignment between its marketing and sales organizations. Submissions must demonstrate how organizational barriers were overcome and processes developed that improve alignment and key performance metrics across both sales and marketing organizations.

-- Marketing Visionary Award: recognizes an individual marketer who acts as a decisive change agent within his or her organization or industry through the application of best practices in demand generation and lead management.

-- Multi-Channel Campaign Award: recognizes a business that has deployed a well-coordinated integrated campaign using across offline and online communication channels to drive demand, increase customer satisfaction or nurture sales opportunities.

-- New Media Marketing Award: recognizes an organization that has creatively used Web 2.0 technologies, such as blogs, community forums, RSS feeds or other user-generated content to build stronger relationships and sustained dialogs with customers and prospects.

-- Sales Efficiency Award: recognizes a business that can show measured improvements in sales effectiveness metrics from campaigns, processes or programs initiated by marketing. Example sales metrics include: increased revenue, deal sizes, customer wins, market share or wallet share, shorter sales cycles, or more sales reps at or exceeding quota.

-- Global Marketing Effectiveness Award: recognizes an organization that has promoted global standardization and consistency in campaign development, execution, measurement and automation to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency.

-- Interactive Marketing Awards: recognizes an organization that has increased marketing response rates or improved the customer experience through the innovative use of Web 2.0 principles or sophisticated web-based personalization.

The winners will be recognized at Eloqua Experience '08, the annual Eloqua International Users Conference. The awards ceremony will take place on October 7 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
