Eloqua Names Brian Kardon as Chief Marketing Officer

Former Forrester CMO Brings Business Strategy Expertise to Eloqua

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2008) - Eloqua, the leading supplier of automated demand generation applications and expertise for business-to-business (B2B) marketers, today announced that it has named Brian Kardon as chief marketing officer (CMO). As CMO, Kardon is responsible for all marketing efforts for Eloqua, including brand development, corporate communications, product marketing, and execution of online and offline marketing programs for lead generation, demand creation and brand awareness. Kardon joins a seasoned executive team recognized for its experience, vision and ability to innovate.

Kardon comes to Eloqua with more than 20 years of experience in creating and implementing successful marketing strategies for global, billion-dollar organizations -- as well as helping to position emerging brands as leaders in their space. He is a recognized expert on Web 2.0 technologies, social media and emerging digital marketing solutions.

Kardon was most recently CMO of Forrester Research, where he helped increase the company's market awareness and developed key initiatives to improve Forrester's growth and profitability. Prior to Forrester Research, Kardon was president of First Act, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of children's musical instruments, and executive vice president of business development and marketing at HomePortfolio. Earlier in his career, Brian was senior vice president and CMO of Reed Business Information, a billion dollar publisher, and director at Braxton Associates, a unit of Deloitte Consulting. Kardon received both his M.B.A. and bachelor's degrees from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
