Eloqua Unveils "Future of Revenue" in Animated Video

Spotlights Emerging Revenue Performance Management Sector

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - October 6, 2010) - Eloqua, the leader in marketing automation solutions that dramatically accelerate revenue growth, today released the "Future of Revenue" video, which spotlights the emerging Revenue Performance Management, or RPM, sector.

Created in collaboration with social media design firm JESS3, the video is part of a broader family of videos, each dedicated to the past, present and future of various sectors. The "State of" series first launched with the viral success of The State of the Internet in early 2010, which has already been translated into Russian and Spanish. With over a half dozen additional "chapters" in the works including The State of Wikipedia, The State of Cloud Computing and the The State of Geosocial, JESS3 is proud to join Eloqua to make the "Future of Revenue" the next in its series.

The Future of Revenue video identifies breakthrough ideas -- scientific management, total quality management, supply chain management -- and looks at the competitive advantage enjoyed by early adopters. The narrative culminates in the emergence of RPM, a systematic approach to analyzing and predicting the results of a business' largest and least understood cost center: marketing and sales.

According to Eloqua CMO Brian Kardon, this video is consistent with Eloqua's colorful approach to marketing. "We are speaking to a broad audience with our revenue performance management story. We are ambassadors for this new sector. So, to that end, we've wrapped the RPM story in a package that is so entertaining, so visually appealing, that we hope our audience will be inspired to talk about it and share it with others. We are weaving word of mouth into the fabric of our marketing."

Jesse Thomas, co-founder of JESS3 and the creative lead on the project, added, "We wanted this to have an authentic style that would draw viewers in at any level -- students, practitioners and executives. Our approach was inspired by 'School House Rock,' which arguably paved the way for educational videos to be entertaining masterpieces. A departure from our data visualization and infographic style, we were elated when Eloqua was willing to experiment with hand illustration. The result is pure magic."

The Future of Revenue is hosted on a microsite that aggregates revenue-related conversation across the social Web. This integrated video/Web project extends Eloqua's revenue growth positioning, which is conveyed in executive videos, and expert Webinars, and visualized in its "Revenue Stream" Twitter identity and "Revenue Hub" SlideShare presence. For more information on this video and Eloqua's commitment to driving revenue growth, visit the company's It's All About Revenue blog.
