Eloqua Unveils New Version of "The Blog Tree" Infographic

"New Growth" Blog Tree Visualizes Interrelationships Among Influential New Blogs

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - Sep 21, 2011) - Eloqua, the leading provider of on-demand Revenue Performance Management solutions, and data visualization firm, JESS3, today released the "New Growth" edition of The Blog Tree, a follow up to last year's popular infographic depicting business bloggers. Using Edelman's BlogLevel measurement tool, the latest Blog Tree spotlights young blogs that stand out in a saturated blogosphere by consistently producing remarkable content.

Like its predecessor, the New Growth edition of The Blog Tree explores the relationship between marketing, technology and data visualization bloggers, envisioning blogs as leaves on various branches and rooted by high traffic news and technology blogs. The new tree is made up of more than 60 fresh blogs -- those that were introduced after January 1, 2009 -- to recognize their achievement in earning trust, influence and popularity in a mature and crowded market. In an improvement over the previous Blog Tree, each individual leaf now links to the corresponding blog.

Eloqua and JESS3 used Edelman's BlogLevel to identify and evaluate blogs because the tool goes beyond measuring traffic and inbound links, which would be a poor indicator of success among new blogs. BlogLevel paints a more holistic picture by also looking at frequency of posts, subscribers, SEO value and more.
