There are several emerging companies returning to an IN3 event, including ExThera Medical (Berkeley, Calif.), with its origins at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. ExThera has developed an innovative medical device that captures and removes an extremely broad range of 'nightmare' bacteria, viruses, parasites and disease-causing agents from circulating human blood -- directly, quickly and simultaneously. At the same time it removes pathogens, ExThera's Seraph® Microbind® Affinity Blood Filter ("Seraph") is also engineered to reduce circulating levels of bacterial toxins and pro-inflammatory cytokines that play an important role in the progression of bloodstream infection to a full systemic inflammatory response. "We are very much looking forward to showcasing our technology again at an IN3 event because of the sophisticated investors who are drawn to IN3," said Dr. Robert Ward, CEO. "We have several opportunities we are seriously pursuing as a direct result of our participation in the Boston IN3 event in June."

The 'IN3 Medical Device 360° Summit San Francisco' investor conference will benefit a wide variety of participants in the medical device sector: start-ups seeking investment or strategic partnerships, investment firms, VCs, mid-size and large medical device manufacturers, and service providers.
