Elsevier Wins 10 PROSE Awards Including Best eProduct Application: Virtual Microscope

Seven Elsevier Books and Two Journals Honored by the Association of American Publishers Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence


PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - February 06, 2015) - Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced winning 10 PROSE Awards including the Best eProduct Application award for the Virtual Microscope, an integrated browser-based slide viewer that provides access to high resolution whole slide images. Seven books and two journals published by Elsevier received a total of 10 awards at the Association of American Publishers' (AAP) Professional and Scholarly Publishing (PSP) Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

PROSE honors the best in professional and scholarly publishing, as judged by peer publishers, librarians, academics and medical professionals. This year's competition attracted 540 entries of books, reference works, journals and electronic products in more than 40 categories; this represents the seventh consecutive year of record-breaking entries.
