eMarketer Strengthens Analyst, Editorial Teams

Internet Research Firm Adds Talent From the Economist Intelligence Unit, Gartner and Find/SVP

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 28, 2005 -- Internet research firm eMarketer has hired new talent to boost its analyst and editorial teams.

eMarketer's new Editorial Director is Mike Chapman, who joins the company after a long career at the Economist Intelligence Unit. Mr. Chapman replaces Ezra Palmer, who recently left eMarketer to join Yahoo! News in Santa Monica, CA. In addition, eMarketer's analyst team is being strengthened with James Belcher and Lisa Phillips, who both join the company as senior analysts.

New eMarketer Editorial Director

Mike Chapman is eMarketer's new Editorial Director, responsible for all editorial research coverage, including daily articles, analyst reports and other special projects, as well as new product development. Mr. Chapman is an experienced economist and publishing executive. He spent 18 years at the Economist Group; ten years as an analyst and editor in the London office, and eight years as the Editor-in-Chief and Executive Producer in the company's New York-based electronic publishing division.

During this period, Mr. Chapman worked with a specialist team to transform the print business of the Economist Intelligence Unit into a global, online business intelligence service. As well as helping set and implement the company's strategy, running electronic editorial and all of the company's product development, he helped set up a new custom research division, which became a key driver of growth for the company. Mr. Chapman has an MSc in Economics from London University.
