Embedded Computing Design Names Uniquify's Josh Lee Top Innovator

Featured in June Issue for Unique Vision of Embedded Market, Adaptive IP

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 12, 2013) - Embedded Computing Design magazine (www.embedded-computing.com) today named Josh Lee, cofounder and chief executive officer of Uniquify (www.uniquify.com), one of three Top Embedded Innovators for 2013.

Lee was selected for his unique vision of the embedded market and adaptive or variation-aware intellectual property (IP). He improved upon the design of DDR memory subsystem IP to solve the fundamental problem of system yield and reliability by developing and patenting the concept of adaptive or variation-aware DDR IP. Lee solved the system yield and reliability problem by developing innovative circuitry -- SCL (self-calibrating logic) and dynamic SCL (DSCL) for real-time static and dynamic variations -- to measure precise timing windows and automatically adjust them for each system.

One of three cofounders who bootstrapped Uniquify in 2005, Lee has managed its growth and a two-part business strategy with system-on-chip (SoC) design services, including manufacturing services, and an IP division that complements its SoC design services. In 2012, Uniquify introduced a comprehensive design services platform called ideas2silicon™, offering faster turnaround, lower costs and a transparent business model to provide rapid assembly of IP blocks into a base system.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
