Embrionix Design Inc. Receives Support From Government of Canada to Commercialize Innovative Technology

LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 28, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Embrionix Design Inc. has been granted $100,000 in repayable funding for the implementation of its commercialization plan on the U.S. market.

"The Government of Canada is pleased to support enterprises that, like Embrionix, are looking to increase their innovation capabilities and stimulate their growth. This fledgling firm has armed itself with a well-defined marketing strategy to help it achieve its goals," said Minister Lebel.

Operating in the information technologies sector, Embrionix Design Inc. has developed interconnection modules that facilitate the short-distance and remote transmission of digital video signals and meet the requirements of major broadcasters.

This financial assistance has been awarded through the Business and Regional Growth program, an initiative designed to strengthen the conditions conducive to the sustainable growth of Quebec's regions and small and medium-sized businesses. The program's aim is to help enterprises improve their performance, become more competitive and engage more heavily in innovation. It also supports the transfer of technology and research outputs to enterprises and the development of new markets.
