                          Appointment of Director

Further to its announcement on 19 September, EMED Mining is pleased to
confirm the appointment of Mr Rod Halliday as a Director of the
Company.

Mr Rodney John Patrick Halliday (age 73) has been the CEO and Deputy
Chairman of EMED Mining's Spanish subsidiary, EMED Tartessus, through
which it holds the Rio Tinto Mining Project, since September 2012. Mr
Halliday is also a director of EMED Mining's Slovakian subsidiary,
Slovenske Kovy. Following the recent resignation of Harry
Anagnostaras-Adams, Mr Halliday has been appointed interim CEO and
Board member of EMED Mining while the Board conducts a search for a new
CEO.

Mr Halliday has significant leadership and management experience from
senior positions spanning a broad range of industries, including 22
years in the Australian military. Mr Halliday is a Fellow of the
Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute
of Management and is currently also a non-executive director of
Flexi-Foam Group Pty Ltd, Foam Pty Ltd, Flexipods Pty Ltd and Halliday
Management Services Pty Ltd and was previously a director of Australian
Business Mentors Pty Ltd.

Mr Halliday has confirmed there is no additional information under
Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies which needs to
be disclosed.
