Emergency in Haiti Radiothon for UNICEF
More than 300,000 children at risk are in need of immediate help
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2008) - Recent back-to-back hurricanes that lashed Haiti, and the flooding that followed, have already taken the lives of 700 people and the situation remains very grave. More than 800,000 people have been affected, of which 300,000 are children.
To support the UNICEF emergency appeal for its relief operations in Haiti, a radiothon will be held this Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on CPAM Radio-Union 1610 AM.
