Emerging Designers Descend Upon World MasterCard® Fashion Week

TFI Press & Buyers Brunch Showcases the Industry's Latest Talents

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - September 24, 2014) - Canadian design talent comes to the forefront of fashion's spring summer 2015 season with the Toronto Fashion Incubator's (TFI) Press & Buyers Brunch at World MasterCard® Fashion Week (WMCFW). A carefully curated group of up-and-coming apparel and accessory designers will showcase their latest collections at the boutique style tradeshow, held in The Studio at David Pecaut Square onsite at WMCFW on October 22nd and October 23rd from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.

In collaboration with a panel of industry experts, including IMG Fashion, a judging panel critiqued dozens of press kits based on trendiness, noteworthy features, design and branding consistency, overall press kit presentation and marketability. Two notable participants at this season's installment include Miriam Baker, who took home the Most Promising New Label Award at TFI New Labels 2014. Additionally, Philadelphia designer Annina King of Granaté Prêt will be participating as part of an exchange between the Toronto and Philadelphia Fashion Incubators.
