Emerging Media Appoints Seasoned Vet David Wheeler as Account Director

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 16, 2014) - Today, Emerging Media, an award-winning branding, PR, marketing and social media agency for disruptive companies, announced that David Wheeler has joined the agency as its Account Director. David will assist in driving new business opportunities, lead client relations efforts and create strategic PR and marketing plans for Emerging Media's groundbreaking clients. Additionally, Wheeler will work alongside CEO Susan Lindner to grow the agency's reach with disruptive companies and expand its video and multimedia capabilities for its clients.

David brings to Emerging Media more than 20 years of domestic and international public relations, marketing and communications experience from the healthcare, pharma, education, retail and public sectors. Prior to joining Emerging Media, David served as the director of Media and Public Relations for NYIT where he developed and executed marketing and public relations strategies, led crisis communications efforts and conducted media training with university leadership.

Prior to serving as the deputy chief of Corporate Communications in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, David served as a press officer for 18 years in the U.S. Army where he led and trained dozens of press officers nationwide. He also managed national press conferences for returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. While stationed at the Pentagon, David developed the public service announcements for the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration that included influential military figures, celebrities and President Bill Clinton, filmed at the White House.
