GETTYSBURG, PA--(Marketwired - October 10, 2016) - mhca will host their final quarterly conference of 2016 at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conference will kick off with a half-day session on November 1 focused on emerging multi-state health and human services operations. This session, part of mhca's National Innovation Incubator Program, will feature firsthand experience from executives of health and human services organizations operating in multiple states.
The session will feature presentations by:
- Leon Boyko, MBA, MSW, LCSW, Chief of Recovery & Crisis Facilities, Recovery Innovations International
- Dyann Roth, Chief Executive Officer, Resources for Human Development
- Monica E. Oss, Chief Executive Officer, OPEN MINDS
This half-day session will launch with an executive update from OPEN MINDS chief executive officer, Monica E. Oss, on market consolidation among service provider organizations and the opportunities and challenges in this evolution of national provider organizations. Following Ms. Oss' update, executives from provider organizations successfully operating across state lines will provide insights, challenges, and lessons learned for operating a multi-state organization. Faculty will also participate in an interactive discussion session with attendees on successful strategies for marketing and operating across state lines.
"Health care has seen a big shift recently in one area -- more organizations are now 'national.' Consolidation is occurring not only with payers, but providers as well," said Monica Oss, Chief Executive Officer at OPEN MINDS and the chair of mhca's National Innovation Incubator. "For many provider organizations, consolidation frequently means expanding beyond state borders to create large multi-state provider organizations. Executive teams looking to expand their organizations into new states need to understand and prepare for the difficulties they may face to ensure they are successful."
Since August 2014, mhca Innovation Incubators have continued to provide leaders in the behavioral health industry with a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers and learn innovative strategies and techniques for remaining sustainable. This think-tank style approach to innovation has provided invaluable opportunities to service provider organizations across the U.S. to recognize and understand emerging trends and develop new and improved products and services within their organizations.
Join mhca and OPEN MINDS at the next Innovation Incubator to give your organization the tools, tips, and tricks you need to not only survive, but thrive in the changing health and human services environment.
