Today, the ECSSR is a world-renowned research institute that focuses on security, economic and social issues affecting the UAE, the region and the globe.

Commenting on the news, Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of the ECSSR, said, "The ECSSR has been in a race against time to accomplish its achievements and to support national decision-making, serve the community in the UAE, GCC, the Arab region and around the world, and invest in the development of national human resources for scientific research. Such achievements bear witness to the excellence characterizing the past 20 years of the ECSSR."
