Emmi Solutions Exceeds Business Targets, Achieves New Heights of Growth

Strong Demand for Scalable Solutions That Help Providers and Payers Connect With Individuals on Their Health

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - January 29, 2015) - Emmi Solutions, the leader in outcomes-driven patient engagement, announced today that 2014 was an outstanding year as measured by company growth, major milestone achievement and by continuing to enable clients to empower the people they serve to better engage in their health through demonstrable results.

The success of the past year reflects Emmi's position as a market leader during a time when, more than ever, providers and payers alike are seeking solutions to proactively educate and engage individuals for improved clinical and business outcomes.

"Since the company's beginning, we've been driven by the mission of simplifying complex medical information to help empower individuals to be active participants in their own health," said Devin Gross, CEO of Emmi Solutions. "I am pleased that we continued to deliver on this promise in 2014 while continuing to make strategic product investments which position us exceedingly well going forward."

Healthcare Leaders Insist on Best in Class Patient Engagement

Leading healthcare organizations sought to make meaningful investments in their patient engagement capabilities in 2014. Emmi's client roster grew to include hospitals and health systems such as Mercy based in Missouri, University Hospitals based in Ohio, UAB Medicine based in Alabama and Centra in Virginia along with payers including Fallon Health based in Massachusetts and Medical Mutual of Ohio.

Improving Patient Experience, Satisfaction and Outcomes

Throughout 2014, the company continued to prove the effectiveness of its unique approach by announcing how it helped achieve operational efficiencies such as reducing no-show rates and contributed to improving population health efforts related to flu vaccines and mammographies. The company also aggregated patient satisfaction data from 17 hospitals and found that Emmi® programs significantly improved overall HCAHPS scores at 65% of the organizations.

Correspondingly, Emmi also experienced a significant surge in program use. Compared to 2013, there was an uptick of 111% in programs being issued. Whereas it once took 18 months to issue 2 million programs, that same number of programs is now issued in less than a quarter of that time. To date, Emmi has issued over 11 million programs to patients, a major milestone for the company.

Setting Standards and Educating the Industry

Emmi's unmatched expertise stood out as CEO Devin Gross and Executive Director of Patient Engagement, Geri Lynn Baumblatt, shared their insights at industry events such as ACHE's Congress on Healthcare Leadership, Stanford Medicine X, EACH's International Conference, Cleveland Clinic's Patient Experience Summit and the annual meeting of the Society for Medical Decision Making. The presentations addressed a range of patient engagement topics including shared decision making, behavioral science and health literacy.
