Healthcare Leaders Insist on Best in Class Patient Engagement

Leading healthcare organizations sought to make meaningful investments in their patient engagement capabilities in 2014. Emmi's client roster grew to include hospitals and health systems such as Mercy based in Missouri, University Hospitals based in Ohio, UAB Medicine based in Alabama and Centra in Virginia along with payers including Fallon Health based in Massachusetts and Medical Mutual of Ohio.

Improving Patient Experience, Satisfaction and Outcomes

Throughout 2014, the company continued to prove the effectiveness of its unique approach by announcing how it helped achieve operational efficiencies such as reducing no-show rates and contributed to improving population health efforts related to flu vaccines and mammographies. The company also aggregated patient satisfaction data from 17 hospitals and found that Emmi® programs significantly improved overall HCAHPS scores at 65% of the organizations.

Correspondingly, Emmi also experienced a significant surge in program use. Compared to 2013, there was an uptick of 111% in programs being issued. Whereas it once took 18 months to issue 2 million programs, that same number of programs is now issued in less than a quarter of that time. To date, Emmi has issued over 11 million programs to patients, a major milestone for the company.
