Emptoris Continues Global Operational Expansion, Adding New Senior Executives From Oracle and SAP

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  Emptoris, Inc., a leading provider of strategic supply management and enterprise contract management solutions, announced today the appointment of several new senior executive additions to the current management team including Lori Webber, as Vice President of Marketing; Kevin D'Souza as Vice President of Alliances; and Kathryn Begley, as Vice President of Research & Development. The new executives are drawn from blue-chip companies including Oracle and SAP, and are the latest in Emptoris' continued expansion of its global organization. Emptoris has added more than 100 professionals in 2010, bringing the company's staff to more than 500 globally.

Lori Webber will serve as Vice President of Marketing for Emptoris, leading the company's global marketing efforts with responsibility for all aspects of marketing including product marketing, corporate communications, field and partner marketing programs, as well as new product introductions and launches. Webber previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at SupplyScape Corporation, a provider of software and services that secure safety and value in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Prior to SupplyScape, Webber served as Vice President of Marketing at Dassault Systems, a provider of 3D and product lifecycle management (PLM) software, and as Vice President of Marketing at MatrixOne, Inc., a leading provider of business collaboration and enterprise PLM software to Fortune 1000 companies. 

Kevin D'Souza will serve as Vice President of Global Alliances and Channels for Emptoris, responsible for developing partner ecosystems in high growth countries and managing the company's relationship with leading consulting companies and solution providers, including Accenture, Deloitte Consulting and IBM, to expand the value and adoption of Emptoris' strategic supply and contract management solutions. D'Souza previously served as Vice President of Business development for SAP AG, where he managed Enterprise Information Management related relationships with Intel, IBM, HP, Fujitsu Siemens and Sun. Prior to SAP, D'Souza worked as Vice President of Alliances and Channels at and as Senior Director of Global Alliances and Channels at Oracle Corporation. Most recently, D'Souza was an independent consultant developing partnership and alliance programs for several Software as a Service (SaaS) companies including a $400 million secure document collaboration company.

Kathryn Begley will serve as Vice President of Research & Development at Emptoris, helping to drive innovation and development of the company's highly-rated strategic supply management and enterprise contract management solution suite. Begley joins Emptoris from Oracle Corporation, where she was Senior Director of Engineering for Enterprise Management. At Oracle, Begley was responsible for product development and releases, including integration and development of newly acquired products, across a portfolio of six solutions which were developed across a global organization. Prior to Oracle, Begley was Senior Director of Engineering at BEA Systems, which was acquired by Oracle, and a senior engineering manager at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
