AB InBev and Anglo America -- Achieving Rapid Time to Value
Anheuser Busch InBev and Anglo American received the Emptoris Rapid Time to Value Award which is presented to a company that has successfully implemented a strategic supply management solution and demonstrated rapid success in driving cost savings and value to the broader organization.

Anglo American is one of world's largest mining companies with operations in Africa, Asia, Australia and North and South America. The company is in the process of centralizing a large number of procurement functions that had previously been performed by its business units. As part of the centralization, the company is capturing and normalizing the data from more than 20 legacy systems including SAP systems. After signing with Emptoris a little more than a year ago, Anglo American is live with the Emptoris Spend Analysis, Emptoris Sourcing and Emptoris Contract Management solutions. The company has the publicly stated goal of delivering $1 billion in sustainable value by leveraging technologies and centralizing procurement.

Emptoris also honored Anheuser-Busch InBev, the global leading brewer and one of the world's top five consumer products companies, with a Rapid Time to Value Award. The company, which was formed with the combination of Anheuser Busch and InBev in 2008, has initiated a global deployment of Emptoris Sourcing across its operations in 30 countries. Since launching this global deployment in January 2010, the company has run more than 6000 sourcing events.

UnitedHealthcare -- Driving Sustainable Transformation
UnitedHealthcare received the Emptoris Sustainable Transformation Award which is presented to a company that has demonstrated long term, sustainable savings and delivered strategic value to their organization through the application of an Emptoris solution or suite of solutions.

UnitedHealthcare, a Fortune 50 company and one of the world's largest healthcare companies, has implemented an enterprise-wide, fully integrated contract management program spanning its physicians, hospitals and procurement operations. More than 1,000 UnitedHealthcare professionals leverage the Emptoris Contract Management solution to manage more than 500,000 contracts. The company's contracts are complex documents that can run 50 pages or more and contain more than 50 clauses and 1,000 business terms. Despite this scale and complexity, more than 90% of contracts at UnitedHealthcare are auto-processed through the contract management solution.

US Postal Service -- Demonstrating ROI Impact Award
The Emptoris ROI Impact Award is presented to a company that has achieved a significant ROI leveraging Emptoris technologies and which has documented its results. The US Postal Service, recipient of this year's Emptoris ROI Impact Award, has annual revenue of more than $68 billion and delivers nearly half the world's mail. If it were a private sector company, USPS would rank in the top 30 in the Fortune 500. Since signing on with Emptoris late last year, USPS has conducted more than 200 sourcing events in the first half of 2010 -- and has an aggressive executive level target to drive more than $12 billion in spending through their sourcing solution this year. USPS has also been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for five consecutive years.

Hewlett-Packard -- Driving Sustainable Adoption
The Emptoris Sustainable Adoption Award recognizes the importance of adoption in driving value; the award is presented to a company that illustrates how its strategic plan drove greater solution adoption within its organization.

With its acquisition of EDS, Hewlett-Packard (HP), already one of the world's largest technology companies, elevated the importance of contracted labor spend to the company. By leveraging the Emptoris Services Procurement solution, HP quickly achieved greater visibility, standardization, control, and agility over its contractor spend. HP drove adoption of the solution to professionals across operations in 14 countries worldwide, placing more than 80% of its services spend under management.

Hatch -- Advancing Innovation in Supplier Performance Management
The Emptoris Innovation Award is presented to a company that best exemplifies the use of Emptoris technology to drive "game changing" innovation and best-in-class supply management capabilities.

Hatch, the global Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management company, was honored with the award for making supplier performance management (SPM) a competitive advantage for the company. Hatch manages billions of dollars worth of materials purchases a year for its client projects in close to 100 countries. Hatch has leveraged the full features and capabilities of the Emptoris Supplier Performance Management solution to provide 24x7 access for all 8,000 Hatch employees to dynamic supplier performance ratings differentiated by geographical location and sourcing category, thereby significantly increasing the company's ability to concurrently optimize sourcing strategies and minimize procurement risks on each capital project worldwide.
