EMS Technologies and PUTIAN-LINKCOM to Provide

MONTREAL - March 23, 2004 - EMS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELMG), announced today that it has signed an agreement with PUTIAN-LINKCOM to provide DVB-RCS products and services in China.

EMS and PUTIAN-LINKCOM perceive a growing demand for satellite broadband services in China, and this agreement provides an exclusive, long-term agreement between the companies to address this market. In addition, the agreement covers:

-- Installation of a DVB-RCS hub in Beijing, providing domestic
coverage across China for demonstration purposes.

-- Development, manufacturing and sourcing of local components for
DVB-RCS systems

-- Development and validation of applications for the Chinese market

-- Local support, repair and maintenance of DVB-RCS systems

"China is a strategically important market, and we conducted a deliberate and extensive search for a strong local partner in China," said Don Osborne, senior vice-president and general manager of EMS Satellite Networks. "We are pleased to have concluded this agreement with a partner of PUTIAN-LINKCOM's caliber and reputation."

EMS has undertaken a multi-month effort to expand its presence in the global market. This effort began last year with the addition of key resources in the European market, and is continuing this year with this announcement concerning China. EMS expects to make further announcements in the coming months with regards to additional relationships and arrangements in other strategically important regions.

EMS SatNet is the world's leading manufacturer of DVB-RCS-compliant hubs and terminals for the satellite communications market. A recent research report by Northern Sky Research estimates that as of December 2004 EMS has a market share of 59% of the installed base for DVB-RCS hubs, and 38% of the installed base for DVB-RCS terminals.
