Enbridge Hosts Aboriginal Business Development Opportunity

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - April 23, 2015) - Enbridge Pipelines Inc. is holding its final event in the Enbridge Aboriginal Business Reverse Trade Show series.

This series brings together Aboriginal businesses and pipeline industry general contractors to foster business relationships and economic opportunities relating to Enbridge's projects and operations, such as the Line 3 Replacement Program.

Line 3 construction is expected to begin in mid-2016, subject to regulatory approval. This project will see $4.9-billion spent in Canada, a significant portion of that in Saskatchewan. The Line 3 Replacement Program is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Saskatchewan's history.

Enbridge is committed to creating economic opportunities for Aboriginal business, and this Enbridge Aboriginal Business Reverse Trade Show event is a case in point. Guests at the trade show will be Aboriginal businesses, as well as representatives of organizations who support Aboriginal business development, employment and training.

Exhibitors include many of the contractors who work in a general contractor capacity on Enbridge projects. The goal of the event is to ensure Aboriginal business has every opportunity to participate in Enbridge's projects, either directly or indirectly.

Based on the success of the reverse trade show series, Enbridge is planning on hosting more of these kinds of events in the future.

Date: Friday, April 24, 2015
Location: Dakota Dunes Casino, 204 Dakota Dunes Way, Whitecap First Nation
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Note: Enbridge representatives will be on hand to facilitate interviews with Aboriginal business and trade-show participants.
