Encor Launches Green Energy - for a Song

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 9, 2015) - Hear that? That's the sound of a nightingale, and it's chirping out an invitation for people to use green energy.

Encor, a division of EPCOR Utilities Inc., is introducing a new product line called Chirp that lets consumers choose to have a portion of their electricity and natural gas come from renewable energy sources.

"Encor customers can now make a personal commitment to the environment each month through their energy bill," said Chantelle Kuchma, EPCOR's Senior Manager of Commercial Products. "Chirp allows us, as individuals, to reduce our carbon footprint by investing in Canadian renewable energy projects."

Beginning today, Alberta consumers can choose a greener option for electricity and natural gas - and for a song, at less than $1 per day.
