Encore's Hemanth Salem to Be Featured Presenter at American Bar Association TIPS Program in Beijing

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - September 3, 2009) - Encore Discovery Solutions, a knowledge-based provider of electronic discovery and related services, has announced that its vice president of professional services, Hemanth Salem, will present at the "Legal Challenges to Chinese Companies Doing Business in the United States" conference on September 10, 2009 at Tsinghua University School of Law in Beijing, China. The program is presented by the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section's International Law Committee, Tsinghua University and Temple University.

The conference is designed to address some of the challenges facing Chinese companies doing business in the United States, including employment laws, class action litigation and electronic discovery. "The topics to be discussed at the conference have great significance to Chinese businesses entering the American market, and speakers are prominent lawyers from both the United States and China," said Wang Zhen Min, Dean of the Tsinghua University School of Law.

Mr. Salem will join a panel to discuss "How to Ensure Compliance within the Legal e-Discovery Responsibilities of Your Company Before and During Litigation," along with attorneys Pamela M. Overton of Greenberg Traurig in Phoenix and Michele A. Powers, of Alston & Bird in Los Angeles. "The discovery process in the United States is unlike China or almost any other country," said Salem. "Companies in China face some unique challenges in complying with U.S. discovery rules. We look forward to helping Chinese companies understand the requirements of our legal system as well as introducing best practices to assist them in minimizing risk and cost."

The ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section strives to keep its 32,000 members on the forefront of emerging issues and technologies and its International Committee is particularly dynamic as more business activities take place across borders. "We are a recognized sponsor of ABA/TIPS and are especially pleased to support this program, as the proliferation of electronically stored information presents significant challenges for companies all over the world, including those in China," said Greg Mazares, president and CEO of Encore.
