A government approved program which aims to divert electronics from landfills, and keep them from being shipped to developing nations where they could be processed in an unsafe manner.

"We have collected over 50 million kgs so far since the program's inception. This event will build on that success and help ensure that returned end-of-life electronics are recycled responsibly." Joyce Thayer, Executive Director, Electronic Stewardship Association of BC (ESABC)

A complete list of acceptable electronics is available at www.return-it.ca/electronics/acceptable and includes such items as televisions, desktop printers and fax machines, non-cellular telephones & answering machines, desktop & notebook computers, computer monitors and computer accessories such as mice, keyboards and cables, as well as home, personal & vehicle audio/video equipment. The Return-It™ Electronics program is designed to manage unwanted electronic products that have exhausted their reuse potential. Before recycling, consumers are encouraged to first consider reuse or donation options.
