On April 26, 2013, get ready for the third round of the second season of the End of the Weak MC Challenge at the Cabaret Underworld. The EOW is a true gathering of artists and fans that wish to experience the magic of live rap freestyle. On April 26, we will witness the third emcee to join Monk. E (champion of the first season and fifth in the world), Dramatik (champion of the first edition, season 2) and Scynikal (champion of the second edition, season 2) for the Canadian finals on July 13, 2013. The Canadian champion will go to the World Finals in London, U.K., next September!

The line-up for this edition includes as many veterans as rising stars:

  • General Q (Black Glovez), hard rhymes, realness and sharp lyrics;
  • Urbn Logix, renowned freestyler from the streets to the big venues;
  • Osti One (K6A!?!), painting texts and flows as astounding as its graffiti;
  • Mef, with a unique over the top style of rhyming since the first edition;
  • Harvey Denim, freestyler of the corner, smuggler of emotions;
  • Mehdi Cee (Boombap Cats, AntiHero Project), crazy flow, the weight of words.

This event unfolds with the usual formula, with live performances by established artists such as Cheak13, Sunspinnaz, Scynikal and exclusively, songs from the 15-23 After-Party album.

The second part of the night will give place to the big return of the 11CHEK Freestyle Competition, back by general request after two years of hiatus. The 11CHEK welcomed more than one hundred artists before taking a break in 2010, among them; Scynikal and FiligraNn (WordUp! Battles).

The End of the Weak MC Challenge is a true encounter between artists and fans; it is a gathering and a meeting place to exchange and reinforce the feeling of community that is the beauty of Hip Hop.

End of the Weak was founded in 2000 as one of the few weekly platforms in NYC where hungry MCs could showcase and hone their talent. What started as a small Open Mic in the back of a restaurant has grown into NYC's longest-running weekly hip-hop show and an International Hip-Hop movement.

End of the Weak has expanded into four continents, nine countries and twenty-two cities around the globe in ten years. The MC Challenge has given artists all over the world a new medium to test their talents. The non-confrontational tone of the EOW MC Challenge and the talent of the MC's that compete in it have allowed bringing together hip-hop lovers across the world.
