Enerflex Systems Ltd. Announces Executive Appointments

CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - May 31) - P. John Aldred, founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Enerflex Systems Ltd. (EFX:TSX), today announced his decision to step down as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Aldred will remain engaged in the Company's growth and strategic planning process as Executive Chairman.

The Board of Directors of Enerflex is pleased to announce the appointment of J. Blair Goertzen, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, as President and Chief Executive Officer, and director, effective June 1, 2006.

"The past 26 years as the founding CEO of Enerflex have been exciting and fulfilling," said Mr. Aldred. "The timing of my decision to step down as CEO is prompted by the strong performance and outlook for Enerflex, and by my confidence in Blair Goertzen's leadership of the Enerflex team worldwide. Since he joined Enerflex in 2003, Blair has made a significant contribution to the success of Enerflex and shown himself to be a dedicated and gifted executive."

Mr. Goertzen was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Enerflex in August 2003, and President and Chief Operating Officer in April 2005. Previously, Mr. Goertzen held other senior executive positions in the oil and gas service industry.
