Energistics Elects Vasu Guruswamy to Its Board of Directors


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - May 6, 2014) -  Energistics announced today that Vasu Guruswamy, Vice President, Services, Schlumberger Information Solutions, has been elected to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Guruswamy joined Schlumberger in 1984 and has held various positions such as Wireline Petrophysicist, North Sea Operations Manager and Global Services Operations Manager. He was promoted to Vice President, Services in 2011. He is based in Schlumberger's London office.

On his election as a board member of Energistics, Vasu Guruswamy said, "I am honored to have been chosen to participate as a director on the Energistics Board and I look forward to contributing to the success of Energistics and its industry-wide goals."

Mr. Guruswamy earned his Masters of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, New York and his Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
