Energous Taps Ziba for Industrial Design

Renowned Design Firm to Pair WattUp Wire-Free Charging With a World-Class User Experience

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 11, 2014) - Energous Corporation ("Energous" or "the Company") (NASDAQ: WATT), the developer of WattUp™, a disruptive wire-free charging technology for electronic devices that provides power at a distance with complete mobility under full software control, today announced that it has engaged Ziba for website design, mobile app design and industrial reference designs to demonstrate the flexibility and breadth of WattUp technology.

"Wire-free power is a completely new category for consumers and presents an opportunity for us to develop a user experience that is every bit as revolutionary," said Sean Madden, Executive Managing Director of Ziba. "We are also thrilled to begin our collaboration with Energous, and to be at the forefront of demonstrating to everyone how this technology can be deployed in exciting ways to benefit the consumer and the enterprise."

Ziba will work with Energous across all customer touch points to create a definitive, integrated user experience. This includes the Energous website, mobile and web management applications and reference designs for transmitter and receiver hardware.

WattUp is a revolutionary, patent- and trademark-pending solution that delivers intelligent, scalable power via the same unlicensed radio bands as a Wi-Fi router. WattUp differs from current wireless charging systems in that it delivers meaningful, useable power, at a distance, while allowing users to roam while charging. The result is a true wire-free experience that saves users from having to remember to plug in their devices or place them on a mat.

"We chose Ziba based on the company's rich history in the tech industry, relevant experience with wearable and mobile devices and their intuitive understanding of consumers and the connected lifestyle," said Stephen R. Rizzone, CEO of Energous. "We're excited that WattUp users will get an experience that is every bit as compelling as the WattUp technology itself."
