Energy Efficiency Innovator HPEV and Systems Control Leader Inverom Ready for Q4 2013 Orders for Mobile Generation Systems for Trucks

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL--(Marketwired - Aug 22, 2013) - HPEV, Inc. (OTCQB: WARM), an innovator in energy efficiency and heat removal technologies, and Inverom Corporation, a leading automotive user interface, battery management and controls systems developer and integrator, announced today that the infrastructure is in place for HPEV to begin taking orders for its innovative Mobile Generation System ("MG") in the fourth quarter of 2013. HPEV and Inverom expect that they will begin initial deliveries of MG systems in the first quarter of 2014.

Energy Efficient: The MG is a breakthrough in energy efficiency technology as it utilizes a class 2-6 truck's own power to generate auxiliary power for compressors, welders, bucket truck arms, or even homes or businesses left powerless after a storm.

Market Driven: Construction, utility and military customers have expressed a need to have portable power at worksites without having to rely on heavy and costly tow-behind generators. The HPEV MG generates the same power as most tow-behind generators and is usable anytime and anywhere as the MG is built into their existing trucks.

"We expect to be on the road with demonstration models in Q4 of 2013 and anticipate receiving deliverable orders from HPEV in Q1 of 2014. The MG project is a first-of-its-kind innovative solution that replaces tow behind generators. We are excited about HPEV introducing it to the market," stated Roman Kuropas, founder and CEO of Inverom Corporation.

HPEV management believes that the MG has the potential to secure significant market share in the multi-billion dollar mobile generator market with its proprietary "built-in" MG system. This HPEV/Inverom MG effort constitutes the first of many planned revenue streams for HPEV.

HPEV and Inverom have incorporated the Emerson LS 40 LSA Alternator with HPEV's patent-pending Parallel Power Input Gearing (PPIG) system that is manufactured through a partnership between Mississippi-based GearTech Heavy Duty and Inverom. This architecture creates a mobile generation system that produces the same power as many tow behind generators at less than 25% of the weight of these legacy units.

The MG employs HPEV's PPIG to power the on-board generator from any truck's (class 2-6) internal combustion engine. Not only is the MG a game-changing advance in the efficiency of mobile auxiliary power systems, this solution provides a lower cost alternative to towing a trailer or skid-mounted generator to a worksite. Installing the MG allows the existing truck to become a mobile generator to power compressors, welders, bucket truck arms, refrigeration units or even homes. In the event of an outage or disaster, businesses can have immediate standby power available when and where it's needed to keep facilities open and minimize losses due to power outages.

The MG requires no government approval or certification and does not affect truck warranties. The system is vehicle agnostic and can work with any type of engine or hybrid.

With an optional battery pack or fuel cell, the MG immediately addresses the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) assessment that idling is harmful to the atmosphere and human health, particularly children. Individual states, counties and cities have passed their own no-idle laws. With the added option, the MG becomes a storage and generation system. As a result, there is no need to idle a vehicle to generate power.

To meet anticipated demand, HPEV and Inverom have established an accelerated commercialization schedule for systems in the fourth quarter of 2013.
