EnerNorth Files Assignment in Bankruptcy Under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada)

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 20, 2007) - EnerNorth Industries Inc. (AMEX:ENY)(FRANKFURT:EPW1) (www.enernorth.com) ("EnerNorth" or the "Company") announces that it has filed an Assignment in Bankruptcy today under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada).

There are approximately 4.293 million shares issued and outstanding in the capital of the Company.
