Enersource and IBEW Local 636 Enter Into a New 4 Year Agreement

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2006) -

Enersource Corporation and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 636 are jointly pleased to announce the ratification of a recently achieved Memorandum of Settlement. The IBEW represents 230 unionized employees supporting Enersource Corporation's core electricity distribution business, Enersource Hydro Mississauga. Enersource Corporation and the IBEW have entered into a 4 year contract effective April 1, 2006, expiring March 31, 2010. The agreement provides for a 2.5 percent increase in the first year and 3 percent in each of the following two years, followed by a 3.25 percent increase in the fourth year along with a provision for COLA.

On a separate basis, Enersource Corporation is introducing Retiree Bridge Benefits for qualifying Employees aged 55-65 with 10 or more years of service on a cost shared basis.
