Enersource Pledges $100,000 to Trillium Health Centre

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 20, 2009) - Enersource Corporation proudly announced tonight that the company has pledged $100,000 to Trillium Health Centre's "Cardiac Challenge."

The Enersource donation will make an important contribution to the Trillium Health Care Foundation in support of its fundraising campaign for the new Hazel McCallion Centre for Heart Health. Trillium Health Centre Foundation's goal is to raise $15 million for the Hazel McCallion Centre for Heart Health, using the funds to upgrade essential medical equipment, build a more robust technological infrastructure, and initiate new programs and research to improve patient treatments. To date, $12 million of the $15 million goal has been raised.

"The I Heart Hazel campaign challenges the community to support advanced cardiac care close to home in honour of Mayor McCallion - someone who has been at the heart of the community for decades," says Steve Hoscheit, president and CEO, Trillium Health Centre Foundation. "We are very grateful for all the donations this campaign has inspired, and Enersource Corporation's generous gift is certainly no exception."

"We are proud of our commitment of $100,000 through our Spirit of Giving program," said Craig Fleming, President and CEO of Enersource Corporation. "Our partnership with the Trillium Health Centre Foundation is a wonderful opportunity to help improve heart health care in the community in which we work and allows Enersource employees to demonstrate their commitment to volunteerism through their participation in the 24 Hour Spin."

Enersource Corporation's social responsibility initiative, Spirit of Giving, is focused on charitable organizations requiring significant financial support and employee volunteerism in the City of Mississauga.
