CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 19, 2012) - EnerVest Energy and Oil Sands Total Return Trust (the "Fund")(TSX:EOS.UN) announces the April 2012 distribution of $0.0417 per unit. The distribution will be paid on May 15, 2012 to unitholders of record on April 30, 2012. The ex-distribution date for this payment is April 26, 2012.

The Fund's objectives are to maximize total return through capital appreciation in the portfolio and to provide unitholders with income from monthly cash distributions.
