eNetColorado, in Partnership With Learning.com, Launches DREAM to Provide Colorado Teachers With Effective Digital Teaching Resources

The Digital Resource Exchange and Marketplace Provides Colorado Educators a Single Point of Access for Finding, Organizing and Using Free and Fee-Based, Standards-Aligned Digital Content and Teaching Resources

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - Jun 21, 2011) - eNetColorado, in partnership with Learning.com, announces today the launch of DREAM -- the Digital Resource Exchange and Marketplace. DREAM offers a single online location for Colorado educators to find, organize and assign digital educational content that is safe and aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards.

DREAM provides

  • a repository of teacher- and district-created digital content
  • staff development resources
  • a community for educators to learn and share best practices
  • thousands of free and fee-based digital resources provided by a growing group of educational publishers

"eNetColorado is dedicated to building partnerships with organizations like Learning.com that will work together to deliver high quality, standards-aligned content to teachers and students across the state of Colorado," says Dan Morris, eNetColorado Executive Director.

Most teachers in Colorado and throughout the country use digital resources daily, but are challenged by the difficulty of finding educationally appropriate, standards-aligned content. Forward-thinking educators in Colorado created DREAM to help teachers navigate the crowded digital landscape. DREAM provides a single location for resources teachers already have as well as a way to find free and fee-based resources that they don't currently have access to. Teachers can even create their own online lessons and teaching resources and share them with others in their district or throughout Colorado.

When teachers enter DREAM, they will be able to use their password-protected resources without stopping to log in at other sites. Teachers can search for what they need, see their results in a consistent and easy-to-use format, organize and assign their choices to students, and track student progress much more efficiently than ever before.

"eNetColorado is demonstrating leadership in education by making DREAM available to all Colorado teachers," says William J. Kelly, Learning.com CEO. "We are proud to partner with this organization on this initiative and we look forward to supporting Colorado teachers through DREAM."
